We have been fortunate to catch some stunning pictures from around the vineyard of the stages of vine growth and the biodiversity created within the wildflower meadows. Here is just a selection:

Somewhere in here is a pond...
Shown on the first Ordnance Survey map of 1866
It was full of dead trees, brambles and nettles
It was checked by 5 local ecologists before we started work
We slowly made our way through, removing dead trees and until we eventually found the water
The Original Pond: approx 15cm water!
We wanted to make the pond a lot bigger. All the clay was moved to the vineyard to infill dips
And all the dead trees were mulched, and spread around the base of the vines
The new pond design changed and we decided on an island, to work with the landscape as it unfolded
